Hairdo #1 - concept Erykah Badu meets Diana Ross:

It lasted about 3 days before I was about to rip my scalp off! The hair was sort of ratty and misbehaved, so the girl in my band who did my hair in the first place did it again, this time with better hair.
I am currently rocking the look below, which is sort of chic chia pet, Tina Turner meets Angie Stone:
Hairdo#2 - Curly Fro

You can't really see the random Cruella de Ville Maroon stripes on the sides though. It sort of looks like what my real hair looks like, times 3 or 4 in terms of size!
Note: It’s not easy walking around w/rock star/rap star/diva hair in someplace like Burbank. The reaction I’ve gotten from the grandeur of style #1 was either reverence or revulsion, no in between. In high fashion stores, the ladies treated me like I was royalty most of the time and everywhere else, I’d get somebody who was just totally freaked out and couldn’t deal. My first reaction was to feel bad, and then the sadistic side of me kicked in and found it sort of funny to force somebody uncomfortable to deal with me. They’re getting paid to deal with me, and I was SO EXTRA nice to them, knowing that they were dying a little death inside by having to deal with me despite their discomfort. The more weirded out they were, they more small talk I subjected them to! It’s sort of fun and a great social experiment. I found it to be good aversion therapy for me in terms of learning to not care what someone thinks of me. Maybe I’ll come home and temporarily get purple hair or something. I have no idea what people who wear mohawks go through on a daily basis! Keep in mind, this is California. If anybody thinks it’s weird here, just imagine the Midwest…

Hey Tryce;
I like the first hair a lot!! It looks like your mom’s name is Diana and your dad’s name could be Robert Ellis Silberstein, Arne Naess Jr., or Barry Gordy! LOL I like the second too but like you said, it looks like your own. I do see the highlights though!! Glad you made it okay. I have been reduced to talking to Oreo! LOL

Hair styling in Europe is very difficult -- you might as well be a Hair Diva!

Yeah... that first hairstyle was definitely diva hair..... You are not that much of a diva yet, huh? ;-)
